Turfing

A patchy or waterlogged lawn is usually a ground preparation problem, not a turf problem. We clear, level and prepare the ground properly before laying turf, so your new lawn establishes well and stays that way.

Old turf, weeds and debris are cleared and the ground levelled and firmed.

Supply and laying of quality turf

Turf is laid tight to the edges with staggered joints for a seamless finish.

Watering-in on the day of laying

Watered in thoroughly on the day of laying, so it beds in properly from the start.

Why Choose Us

Most turf problems come from rushed ground preparation. We take the time to get levels, drainage and soil right before the turf goes down, which is what actually determines whether a lawn takes.

What Affects the Price

Price depends on the area to be turfed, how much ground clearance and levelling is needed, and any drainage improvements required.

Areas We Cover

Based near Stafford, we cover Stone, Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth, Streetly, Walsall, Coventry and the surrounding area.

Certified & Insured

All our work is certified and insured, so you're covered from the first visit to the final clean-up.

Turfing FAQs

How soon can I walk on a new lawn?

Generally avoid walking on new turf for at least two to three weeks while it roots down, longer in cooler months.

How often does new turf need watering?

New turf needs regular watering for the first two to three weeks, daily in dry weather, tapering off as it establishes.

Can you turf over an existing lawn?

The old lawn needs to come out first so we can level and prepare the ground properly. Turfing straight over an existing lawn doesn't give good results.
